KATHMANDU, Oct. 4 -- The government has decided to declare public holidays on October 5 and 6 (Sunday and Monday) due to unfavorable weather engulfing the nation currently.

Except for offices related to disaster management and essential services, the decision applies to the entire country.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notice today stating that the holidays have been announced considering the risks of floods, inundation, and landslides due to continuous rainfall, along with the possibility of disruption in road and air transport and potential human casualties.
