Nepal, March 17 -- The government has decided to formulate a procedure for deploying helicopters to control forest fires, aiming to strengthen wildfire response efforts.

The decision was taken during the 74th meeting of the Central Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, chaired by Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal.

According to the decision, the Ministry of Home Affairs Nepal, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance Nepal and the Ministry of Forests and Environment Nepal, will prepare and implement the procedure within 15 days.Nepal culture blog

The meeting also decided to mobilize community-based forest user groups through provincial forest ministries to support wildfire control efforts.
