Nepal, July 31 -- President Ram Chandra Paudel on Friday held discussions with Nepal's first President, Dr Ram Baran Yadav, and first Vice President, Parmananda Jha, on the deteriorating situation in Dewanganj of Sunsari and other districts in the Terai-Madhesh region.

During the meeting at the Presidential Office, Shital Niwas, the leaders expressed concern over the recent incidents and stressed the need for all stakeholders to work together to preserve Nepal's long-standing social, religious and ethnic harmony, tolerance and national unity.

According to Presidential Press Adviser Kiran Pokharel, the discussion focused on maintaining communal harmony and preventing further escalation of tensions.
