Police firing kills one in Sunsari, curfew enforced in five areas
Nepal, July 27 -- A clash between two communities in Kaptanganj of Dewanganj Rural Municipality, Ward 3, Sunsari, left one person dead after security personnel opened fire, prompting the local administration to impose an indefinite curfew in five areas of the district.
The clash began at around 10:30 pm on Sunday. According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, Om Prakash Mehta of Kaptanganj was killed after being hit by a bullet fired by security personnel.
Armed Police Force personnel fired seven rounds to bring the situation under control.
