KATHMANDU, Dec. 8 -- An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Nepal Police has been arrested for allegedly killing his four-month-old son during a domestic dispute at a rented apartment in Sinamangal, Kathmandu.

According to Kathmandu District Police Chief SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when an argument escalated, resulting in the infant's death.

The suspect, 29-year-old ASI Pushkar Karki of Doti, is accused of fatally attacking his son, Mahir Karki, with a sharp weapon. Police say he also assaulted his wife, Bishnah Saud, who is also an ASI. Both were working at Tribhuvan International Airport.
