Nepal, April 22 -- Prime Minister Balen Shah will temporarily oversee the Home Ministry following the resignation of Home Minister Sudan Gurung.

According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, the portfolio will remain under the prime minister's direct supervision for the time being.

Gurung stepped down earlier on Wednesday after coming under scrutiny for his alleged business links with controversial entrepreneur Dipak Bhatt. He resigned, stating that he wanted an impartial investigation into the allegations.
