PM Balen holds high-level security meeting over Bhotekoshi flood response
Nepal, Sept. 9 -- Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah has begun a high-level meeting with the chiefs of Nepal's three security agencies to assess the response to the devastating Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa and review ongoing search, rescue and relief efforts.
The meeting, being held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, comes as authorities continue efforts to locate those still missing and provide relief and treatment to people affected by the disaster.
Prime Minister Shah is currently holding discussions with Chief of the Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel, seeking a detailed briefing on the overall situation and the progress of search and rescue operations, relief distribution and treatment.
