Parliament's budget session spends over 277 hours on business
Nepal, Oct. 3 -- The second session, or budget session, of the House of Representatives (HoR) dedicated a total of 277 hours and 30 minutes to parliamentary business through 68 meetings over 62 days.
The session endorsed 12 bills, including the Bill to Replace Ordinances. Although the HoR's budget session had begun on May 11 and lasted 145 days, the number of days spent on parliamentary business was 62.
Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal shared the information with lawmakers on Friday before announcing the conclusion of the session.
According to the Speaker, a total of 35 bills, including the Civil Service Bill, were tabled in Parliament during this period. Similarly, 20 bills were under consideration in the relevant HoR committees.
