Nepal, June 15 -- Opposition parties in the House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday urged the government to take issues related to national sovereignty more seriously and sought clarifications on a range of matters concerning Nepal's national interests.

At the outset of the meeting, opposition lawmakers rose from their seats in protest, prompting Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal to grant time to CPN-UML Deputy Parliamentary Party Leader Padma Aryal to present her concerns.

Aryal demanded a response from the government regarding remarks made by Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal during his recent visit to India. She also expressed dissatisfaction with comments made by Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle while responding to questions in Parliament. ...
