Nepal, July 10 -- Nepal Police Spokesperson DIG Abi Narayan Kafle has denied reports that Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prasanna Raj Chaudhary was recalled from his posting for questioning over a recent public remark.

Media reports had claimed Chaudhary, who is posted in Kailali, had been subjected to disciplinary action after a video of him saying, "We are not Balen's police," while referring to Prime Minister Balendra Shah, went viral on social media.

Kafle said those reports were inaccurate.
