Nepal, Nov. 3 -- Newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Nepal Sudhakar Dalela arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday to assume his diplomatic post.

Officials from Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indian Embassy welcomed him at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Dalela's arrival comes a day before Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri begins his two-day visit to Nepal on November 4.

Dalela previously served as Secretary (Economic Relations) at India's Ministry of External Affairs and as India's ambassador to Bhutan for three years. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1993.
