NEPSE plunges nearly 30 points in two days, daily turnover pathetic
Nepal, Sept. 10 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday fell 13.85 points and closed at 2,531.55 points, with all the sub-groups posting downfall in their market indices.
This is the second consecutive day that the secondary market declined by double digit points, with a cumulative decline of nearly 30 points in two trading days. Along with the market index, the daily turnover amount also declined to Rs 3.99 billion from Rs 4.19 billion on the previous day.
As the value of 68 companies increased, the value of 199 decreased, while eight remained stable. The manufacturing and processing group decreased the most by 1.14 percent (121 points). The declined rate of 12 remaining groups remained at less than one percent.
