Nepal, Aug. 24 -- Nepal is set to take part in a high-level commemorative meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Belgrade, Serbia, with Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal leading the Nepali delegation.

The meeting is scheduled to take place in the Serbian capital on August 31 and September 1. A Cabinet meeting on August 11 decided that a three-member Nepali delegation led by Minister Khanal would represent Nepal at the gathering.

The meeting holds particular significance as Belgrade hosted the first NAM Summit in 1961. This year's high-level gathering is being organized to mark the 65th anniversary of the historic first summit.
