Nepal, Aug. 17 -- Nepal earned a profit of Rs 4.57 billion from power trade in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024/25, according to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). In a commitment letter issued by Executive Director Hitendra Dev Shakya on the occasion of NEA's 40th anniversary on Sunday, it was revealed that electricity exports to India generated Rs 17.47 billion in revenue. However, electricity imports worth Rs 12.9 billion during the same period reduced the overall profit.
