Nepal, Oct. 7 -- Nepal has earned around Rs 15 billion from electricity exports over the past three months. Manoj Silwal, Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), stated that since the start of the current fiscal year 2025/26 in mid-July, approximately Rs 15 billion worth of electricity has been exported.
He added that the country's surplus electricity, after meeting domestic consumption, is exported daily at an average of 1,000 megawatts.
