Nepal, Aug. 17 -- A total of 2,853 disaster incidents have occurred across the country from mid-April until mid-August, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRRMA). These incidents claimed 126 lives and left 585 people injured.
The NDRRM reported that 23 people went missing and 5,041 families were affected. Across the country, there were 216 flood incidents, 317 landslides, 221 cases of heavy rainfall, 245 lightning strikes and 77 snakebite incidents.
