MPs raise concerns over house demolition, caste discrimination, irregularities in HoR
Nepal, June 11 -- Lawmakers have raised concerns in the House of Representatives over issues ranging from alleged house demolitions along the Mechi Highway and caste-based discrimination to infrastructure disruptions and financial irregularities.
Speaking during the emergency hour of Thursday's HoR meeting, lawmaker Bhumika Subba urged the government not to demolish private houses built along the Mechi Highway, saying such actions could displace families and affect livelihoods.
