Nepal, July 26 -- Milk producers as well as cooperatives and agriculture farms of Kanchanpur district have been affected due to the delay in payments by the Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) since the past eight months.

According to the milk producers, the state-owned DDC has not paid for the milk purchased from seven cooperatives and 34 agricultural farms in Kanchanpur since mid-November 2024. The DDC owes outstanding dues of Rs 60 million. Of the amount, Small Farmers Cooperative has not received Rs 2.95 million, the largest of all.
