Kathmandu, July 30 -- A massive flood struck the Bhotekoshi River at around 3:00 AM Wednesday, causing a sudden rise in the water level of the Trishuli River. The local administrations of Rasuwa and Nuwakot have urged people living along the riverbanks to remain alert.
According to Krishna Prasad Humagai, Assistant Chief District Officer of Nuwakot, the flood has caused erosion in several areas including Pairebensi, Betrawati, Trishuli, and Devighat. Authorities have warned that the flood could enter residential areas and have urged residents to stay safe. Personnel from Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force have used loudspeakers to request nearby households to move to safer locations.
