Nepal, July 18 -- Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Yagyamani Neupane has said Nepal cannot establish good governance or effectively combat corruption without fundamental reforms to the judiciary.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Neupane argued that the current judicial system has failed to provide ordinary citizens with confidence that they can obtain justice.

Citing a series of recent developments, he said the time had come for a "ruthless review" of the judiciary, warning that any further delay could have far-reaching consequences. "The longer we postpone this review, the more we may come to regret the delay," he wrote.
