Bangladesh, July 8 -- The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast heavy rainfall in parts of several provinces today as monsoon conditions remain active across the country.

According to the division, the monsoon trough lies south of its average position over eastern Nepal and near its normal position over the western region. Monsoon winds are currently influencing weather across the country.

At present, the weather is generally cloudy nationwide, with light to moderate rainfall occurring at a few places in Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Lumbini Province and Karnali Province, and at one or two places in Gandaki Province and Sudurpashchim Province.
