Nepal, Oct. 6 -- Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey has filed his candidacy for the post of vice-president of the Nepali Congress (CM) at the party's 15th General Convention.

Pandey is seeking the vice-presidency with a plan to strengthen the party's organization from the central leadership.

His candidacy has added to the competition among leaders seeking the post of vice-president at the NC convention.

With preparations for the election of new party leadership intensifying, several NC leaders have been putting forward their claims for various office-bearer positions.
