Nepal, Oct. 22 -- Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari left for China today to attend the Global Governance Forum, scheduled to be held in Xiong'an New Area, Hebei Province, northern China, from October 23 to 25.

The event is being held under the theme "Rebuilding Confidence and Cooperation: Major Changes Unseen in a Century and the Reform and Improvement of Global Governance."

According to Bhandari's secretariat, the former president will address the forum as a special guest. Parallel sessions, discussions and roundtable meetings on various issues are scheduled for October 24 and 25.
