Nepal, Sept. 12 -- Pushpa Kamal Dahal, coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), has stressed the need to prioritize permanent reconstruction and rehabilitation alongside immediate relief efforts in areas devastated by floods.

Dahal made the remarks during his visit to flood-affected areas in Galchi, Dhading, on Friday. He said the scale of human and physical losses caused by the disaster was substantial and that reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts could no longer be delayed.

"The physical damage is substantial. We must focus on both temporary and permanent restoration, as well as providing relief to those affected by the floods," he said.
