Families of missing Trishuli-3B workers stage protest in Kathmandu
Nepal, Sept. 7 -- Holding photographs of loved ones who have been missing for nearly two weeks, relatives of those swept away by a flood at the Trishuli-3B Hydropower Project took to the streets in Kathmandu on Monday, demanding that authorities intensify the search and rescue operation.
The families gathered at Maitighar Mandala, carrying placards with photographs of the missing and urging the government to step up efforts to locate their loved ones.
For the families, 13 days after the disaster have brought more questions than answers. They said the government had yet to provide clear information about the whereabouts of the missing or explain how far the search and rescue operation had progressed.
