Nepal, Aug. 3 -- Medical entrepreneur and coordinator of the National Campaign for the Protection of Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizens, Durga Prasai, has been arrested.

A joint team from the Crime Investigation Office, Teku, and the Bhaktapur District Police Office arrested Prasai from his residence at around 10:30 pm on Sunday.

Earlier on Sunday, Prasai had held a press conference where he announced a protest movement calling for the restoration of Nepal as a Hindu state and the reinstatement of the monarchy.

Police accused Prasai of disturbing public peace and security.
