Nepal, July 7 -- Prime Minister Balendra Shah, who also chairs the Medical Education Commission, has appointed Dr Devendra Khatri as the commission's vice chair.
Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel, who serves as the commission's co-chair, handed over the appointment letter to Dr Khatri at the ministry on Tuesday.
The position had remained vacant after the government introduced an ordinance providing for the removal of public office bearers from their posts. Following the ordinance, the commission's then vice chair, Dr Anjani Kumar Jha, along with other office bearers, was relieved of his position.
