Nepal, March 5 -- In Sindhupalchok, the vote of a person with a disability was reportedly cast for a candidate against their will.

The incident occurred at the Ganesh Basic School polling center in Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality, where the individual had gone to vote. Controversy arose after the polling officer cast the vote contrary to the voter's intention.

The dispute caused voting to be temporarily halted at the polling center.

The Central Election Cell of the police has now confirmed that voting has resumed.
