Nepal, Aug. 4 -- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has forecast a significant rise in water levels in small rivers and streams across 30 districts of the country today.

The DHM has warned of a moderate risk of flash floods in small rivers and streams in Taplejung, Ilam, Jhapa, Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Morang, Sunsari, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Udayapur, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok and Kavrepalanchok.

Likewise, water levels are also expected to rise in small rivers and streams in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Nuwakot, Lamjung, Kaski, Myagdi, Baglung, Banke, Jajarkot, Rukum East, Rukum West, Surkhet, Darchula, Baitadi, Achham, Doti and surrounding districts.
