Nepal, Aug. 21 -- Former Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba and former acting president Purna Bahadur Khadka have moved the Supreme Court (SC), seeking to halt the process for the party's 15th general convention under the leadership of Gagan Thapa.

The Deuba-Khadka faction approached the court after the party's establishment faction began preparations for the general convention while a case concerning the NC's official status remains sub judice at the SC.
