Nepal, Feb. 26 -- Nepali Congress (NC) outgoing President Sher Bahadur Deuba has left for Singapore. According to a source close to him, he departed at 11:45 PM on Wednesday on a flight operated by Singapore Airlines.
Deuba flew to Singapore with only a week remaining before the House of Representatives (HoR) election. An NC official from Sudurpaschim Province said that he traveled for medical treatment after experiencing high blood pressure.
After losing the party presidency at the special general convention and failing to secure official recognition from the Election Commission (EC), as well as an interim order from the Supreme Court, Deuba was reportedly disappointed.
