Nepal, Oct. 9 -- The death toll from floods and landslides triggered by continuous rainfall in Ilam has risen to 39, with 26 people injured and one still missing, according to the District Administration Office, Ilam.

Chief District Officer Sunita Nepal said that all municipalities in Ilam district, except Chulachuli and Rong rural municipalities, have reported damage. As per the official statement, 108 houses have been completely destroyed, mainly belonging to victims and displaced families now taking shelter with relatives, neighbors or in community buildings.
