Nepal, Feb. 12 -- The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu, has banned protests, rallies, assemblies, strikes and similar activities in and around Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
Issuing a public notice, Chief District Officer Ishwar Raj Paudel stated that such activities will not be allowed from February 13 onward without prior approval.
The decision comes in view of the enforcement of the election code of conduct and the upcoming Maha Shivaratri festival. Authorities said the move aims to ensure airport security, smooth movement of passengers and uninterrupted public mobility in the area.
