Critically Injured Makwanpur Jeep Accident Victim Dies
Nepal, Aug. 18 -- A woman who was critically injured in a jeep accident in Bhimphedi, Makwanpur, on Tuesday morning has died during treatment.
Laxmi Badu, 49, passed away at Shree Birendra Hospital in Chhauni, Kathmandu. Her body remains at the hospital, according to police.
The accident occurred around 7:00 AM when a Birgunj-bound jeep (Pra 3-01-002 Jha 5183) coming from Kathmandu lost control and plunged approximately 50 to 60 meters into a roadside ravine.
A Nepal Army helicopter airlifted four of the injured-including Gokarna Dangi, a judge at the Janakpur High Court's Birgunj bench-to Shree Birendra Hospital for urgent care.
