Kathmandu, July 28 -- Bimal Paudel has been appointed as the new Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court (SC).
According to Dr Ashok Kumar Chhetri, spokesperson for the Judicial Council, the Judicial Service Commission made the decision during its meeting on Sunday. The position fell vacant after former Chief Registrar Devendra Raj Dhakal retired upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 58.
The meeting also appointed Deputy Registrar Man Bahadur Karki as the Registrar of the SC. Additionally, Joint Attorney Surya Raj Dahal has been assigned as Secretary of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
