Nepal, Sept. 30 -- The House of Representatives has passed the 'National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2083 BS'

In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, the House unanimously passed a proposal to pass the Bill, moved by Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun. The 'National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2083', has originated in the National Assembly,

Presenting the proposal, Minister Pun said that the bill had to be introduced to make DNA testing faster and more effective and to expand such services to the provincial level. The bill contains provisions, among others, to ensure that data is not released without authorization.
