Nepal, July 30 -- The Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party in Bagmati Province has decided to seek support from other parties to retain Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya after the CPN-UML withdrew its backing from the provincial government.

A meeting of the NC parliamentary party on Thursday decided to initiate both written and verbal consultations with all parties represented in the provincial assembly to secure support for the NC-led government.

The meeting authorized Chief Minister Baniya, who also heads the NC parliamentary party in the province, to lead the outreach efforts in coordination with the party's central leadership.
