Nepal, Aug. 7 -- A tense confrontation broke out Wednesday evening in Dhanusha when a group illegally smuggling goods from India clashed with the Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal.

As the APF team moved in to seize the smuggled items, the smugglers launched a barrage of stones at the security forces. Responding swiftly, the APF fired four warning shots from their SLR rifles to regain control of the chaotic scene.

The incident unfolded around 8:15 PM inside a mango orchard in Duhabi, Bidheh Municipality-2. The APF squad, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and deployed from the proposed border security post at Mahinapur, intercepted the smugglers during the operation.
