Nepal, Oct. 25 -- Police have detained 50 individuals who had gathered at Maitighar, Kathmandu, claiming to be members of the Gen Z United group, to stage a protest on Saturday morning without prior approval from the local administration.
According to the Kathmandu Police Range, the demonstrators were taken into custody for questioning and there were concerns over possible clashes with other Gen Z groups, which could have posed a security risk to the protesters themselves. Among those detained, 24 are women and 26 are men.
