Nigeria, Aug. 9 -- The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released corrected results for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates, showing that more than 1.2 million candidates passed with five credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
According to the revised data presented by the WAEC's Head of Nigeria Office, Amos Dangu, at a press briefing in Lagos on Friday, a total of 1,239,884 out of the total 1,969,313 candidates who sat the examination passed.
This represents 62.96 per cent of candidates, and increased when compared to the initial figure of 755,043 candidates (38.32 per cent), which the Council had wrongly announced on Monday.
