Nigeria, Sept. 28 -- Edo Queens' 2026 CAF Women's Champions League WAFU-B final victory has been annulled after CAF ruled that their penalty shootout win over Ghana's Ampem Darkoa Ladies was conducted without the required extra time.

The Nigerian champions had appeared to settle the final on 5 September after beating Ampem Darkoa 4-1 on penalties following a 2-2 draw at the 4th of August Stadium in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

However, CAF's Organising Committee for Women's Football has ruled that the penalty shootout should not have taken place because the required 30 minutes of extra time had not been played.
