Nigeria, Sept. 30 -- The Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Taiwo Oyedele, has disclosed that enacted tax reform laws, signed in June, make no distinction between legitimate and illegitimate forms of work.
PREMIUM TIMES reported that the reforms consolidate four key legislations: the Nigerian Tax Act (NTA), the Nigerian Tax Administration Act (NTAA), the Nigerian Revenue Service (Establishment) Act (NRSEA), and the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Act (JRBEA).
The NTA and NTAA are scheduled to take effect on 1 January 2026, while the NRSEA and JRBEA will commence on 26 June 2025.
