Nigeria, Aug. 25 -- The police in Anambra State, South-east, say they have begun an investigation into the alleged chaining of a man for five years by his father in their compound in the state.
The police spokesperson in Anambra State, Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
Last week, a video clip surfaced on social media showing some angry youths from Igbo-Ukwu interrogating an old man over the whereabouts of his son, simply identified as Chigbo, popularly known as Agudo.
Igbo-Ukwu is a community in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The youths said in the clip seen by PREMIUM TIMES that the father and the family had claimed that Chigbo travelled to Europe in search of greener pastures.
