Nigeria, Sept. 22 -- The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspected car thieves and recovered a stolen Hyundai Sonata car in Ibadan, the state capital, weeks after the command announced the arrest of two suspects allegedly linked to a separate transnational vehicle theft network.

The latest arrests followed the recovery of a white Hyundai Sonata, registration number ABC 882 GK, which was reportedly stolen from Shangisha, Magodo, Lagos, on 13 September.

According to the command's statement signed by its Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ayanlade Olayinka, the stolen car was later sighted around the Ojoo area of Ibadan, prompting a report to the Oyo Command on 16 September.
