Nigeria, Sept. 22 -- The Osun State House of Assembly has begun moves to establish a legal framework for managing motor parks and garages across the state amid recurring disputes over control of the facilities.

The lawmakers on Monday passed the Osun State Park Management System Bill, 2026, through second reading, advancing a proposal that seeks to regulate activities in motor parks, formalise revenue collection and curb violence and extortion.

Punch reported that the bill was sponsored by Abiola Waheed, Chairman of the House Committee on Works and Transport, who said the proposed law would introduce a structured management system for parks across the state.
