Nigeria, Sept. 26 -- Super Falcons defender Osinachi Ohale has brought the curtain down on her international career, announcing her retirement from football at the age of 34 after 16 years of representing Nigeria.

Ohale made the emotional announcement on Friday through a farewell statement on her Instagram page, ending a remarkable journey that saw her earn 86 caps, feature at four FIFA Women's World Cups and compete at seven editions of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
