Nigeria, Nov. 2 -- Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has vowed to appeal the Federal High Court judgement recognising his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Imo West Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, describing the former governor as "chasing shadows".

Mr Uzodimma's Chief Press Secretary, Oguike Nwachuku, said the governor considered the judgement a "travesty of justice" and was confident it would be overturned by the Court of Appeal.
