Nigeria, Sept. 13 -- Lagos football gets a fresh chapter on Sunday when Inter Lagos and Sporting Lagos meet at arguably the most-used turf in the nation, the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, in what will be the first top-flight Lagos derby in a decade.

The meeting was not initially expected to carry such historic significance. Sporting Lagos were originally scheduled to face fellow Lagos side Ikorodu City in Matchday Two (which would have been the first Lagos derby in the top flight in 10 years). Still, the fixture was postponed after the Mobolaji Johnson Arena was made unavailable because of a political rally.
