Nigeria, June 2 -- The Nigerian government has launched the Youth in Agribusiness Land Trust Fund (YiALTF), an initiative designed to tackle youth unemployment and improve access to land for young farmers amid rising concerns over food insecurity and conflicts linked to land use across Nigeria.

The initiative, unveiled in Abuja on Monday by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development in partnership with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and financial institutions, seeks to provide young Nigerians with access to land, training, financing, technology and markets.
