Nigeria, Nov. 3 -- Muhammad Adamu, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in Nasarawa State, has distributed vehicles, cash and household equipment to women leaders across the state as he prepares for the 2027 governorship election.

Mr Adamu, former Inspector-General of Police, said the empowerment programme, held on 31 October, covered women leaders across the 13 local government areas and 147 electoral wards in the state.

In a statement announcing the exercise, his campaign said the beneficiaries received cars, refrigerators, grinding machines, generators, solar-powered fans and cash support.
